18 Best Style & Gear Releases in February 2025
Buck Mason x Lee, YETI Pour Over, Turtlebox Ranger—these are my awards for every new release and product discovery this month.
LIVE A LITTLE is a style and lifestyle journal for the adventurous man—from the pen of a full-time menswear copywriter.
Thanks to Substack, you can find my favorite takes and finds without any influence of a publisher over my head.
That’s what makes this list of the 18 Best Style & Gear Releases in February so special. There’s no pressure for me to cover one brand or another, or the need to write about something because it’s new (and not good) because the current release calendar is slow (I’m counting relatively new products I discovered this month too).
I plan on getting you all more stories like this going forward. LIVE A LITTLE is now a tight-knit community of over 500+ subscribers strong—and we’re just getting started. So hold on to your ticket, and keep enjoying the ride.
Best New Americana Release: Flint and Tinder Spring '25

I spent over 2 months writing copy for Flint and Tinder Spring ‘25, and now the collection is here. There are a ton of great finds inside: the Type 2 Denim Jacket, the Garment Dyed Crewneck Sweater, and the 365 Utility Blazer are few core pieces.
From the collection, I bought the Chambray Utility Shirt in Bleached Indigo, and the Surplus Boxy T-Shirt in Cinnamon. You can check out the full collection release here.
Best New Collaboration: Buck Mason x Lee

The Buck Mason x Lee collection focuses on Lee’s iconic 101 collection, offering refreshed styles of its workwear pieces.
According to Lee, the collection “features premium materials, including Japanese selvedge denim sourced from the renowned Kaihara mill.” Some of the dark wash pieces are going to appeal to denimheads. But I personally like the light wash blues and browns, especially since we’re entering spring.
Most Versatile Style Release: Alex Mill Spring '25

Alex Mill’s Spring ‘25 has a ton of heat. I love the play between vintage and rugged looks—something I wouldn’t have expected from the brand.
The Aaron Utility Jacket in Recycled Denim is probably my favorite. Cooper Suit is a close 2nd (and I’m not even a big suiting guy). Other great pieces include the Marlon Sweatshirt, the Field Pant, and the James Rollneck in Cotton Linen.
Best New Hats: Seager Co. New Hats for Spring

Seager Co. has some of the best hats around. The fit is nice and snug, and my hair flares out the back majestically.
They just dropped a bunch of new hats for spring. $35 a pop. Great price!
Best Release Under $100: Killshot 2 Brown Leather
Nike Killshot 2 got a cool brown leather color. I’d honestly wear these. Feels like this shoe is coming back into style again.
Although for some, this shoe never left (just ask the Killshot loyalists).
Most Unexpected Collab: Filson x Ten Thousand

I totally didn’t see this partnership happening, but I’m glad it did. Filson x Ten Thousand comes in 3 core workout pieces that feature a sweet Buckthorn Brown color.
Tactical Hoodie looks really cool in the exclusive color. I definitely wouldn’t mind picking up another pair of Ten Thousand shorts—their one of my all-time favorite workout shorts.
Best New Tech Gadget: Nestout Carabiner Battery

The Nestout Carabiner Battery is a rugged gadget costs $45 and has 5,000 mAh, which is about the same power as an Anker 621 MagSafe.
I’m curious how the weight feels in hand. Nestout is 6.4oz to the Anker 621’s 4.5oz.
Best Limited Edition Watch: Seiko Tropical Hornbill GMT

Seiko didn’t have to go this hard on its limited edition Alpinist GMT SPB493J. The design is inspired by tropical hornbill birds of Southeast Asia. I love the color scheme, but my favorite detail is the dial texture, which Seiko says is inspired by the wing feathers of hornbills.
Specs of the watch: 200 meter water resistance, sapphire crystal case with anti-reflective coating, and Lumibrite hands.
The bummer about this watch is it’s going to be hard to acquire. Releasing in Asia markets to a limited run of 500. Priced at $1,650
Best New Announcement: Nike Mars Yard 3.0

I really thought the partnership with Nike and Tom Sachs was over. I mean, Nike’s C1TY series (the $110 sneakers I’ve been raving about here for some months now) is basically a light edit to the Mars Yard.
Mars Yard 3 was announced to release in September 2025. The second image above shows all the features of the Mars Yard 3, including a carbon fiber plate. I’m not the biggest fan of carbon fiber plates on walking shoes. I think carbon fiber plates can weaken your foot if you become too reliable on them for everyday wear.
Nevertheless, this is still one of the greatest shoes of all time. Rumored price is $275.
Best New Gadget: YETI Rambler Pour Over

YETI Rambler Pour Over finally got a proper relaunch. The coffee gadget was techicially released during Black Friday, but it sold out blazing fast. Now there’s a full restock over at yeti.com.
It fits on tumbler, cup, and mug. There’s 4 core colors. Sweet product. $30.
Most Unique: No Normal Coffee

No Normal Coffee is coffee paste that comes in a tube. I’ve seen it across a few outlets now (Gear Patrol first, but a recent Bon Apetit mag feature prompted further curiosity). Each tube has about 20 cups of coffee and a shelf life of 12 months.
What’s interesting is No Normal advertises the paste can be consumed via tube, or on toast—kinda like how Australians consume Vegemite. I’d probably just mix in hot water and make a regular cup of Joe.
Keep in mind the paste is more concentrated in caffeine than regular coffee. So if you eat it directly, I’m sure you’ll give yourself a pretty good buzz. Starts at $17 a tube.
Most Tactical: Garmin tactix 8

The new Garmin tactix 8 is most hardcore smartwatch you can buy right now.
Cool new Rucking feature and 47mm case size
U.S. military standards for thermal, shock, and water resistance
Multi-band GPS with SatlQ, built-in flashlight, diving support, Applied Ballistics pairing, mic to take phone calls
47mm AMOLED priced at $1299. 51mm Solar priced at $1399.
Most Academic: Ourdoor Recreation Archive Book

Outdoor Recreation Archive (@outdoorrecarchive) has been one of the coolest Instagram follows for style and gear junkies for over 5 years now. It’s an account that collects old outdoor magazines and materials, digitizes them, then scans and posts on IG. Think Patagonia catalogues, vintage Mountain Gazette mags, The North Face lookbooks, and more. The account is actually part of Utah State’s Outdoor Product Design and Development program (OPDD), so it has a cool academic angle.
I’m prefacing all this to say Outdoor Recreation Archive is releasing a coffee table book, The Outdoor Archive. Inside are images of its collection, along with commentary from experts in fashion and outdoor space. The Source Edition is currently for sale for $100, available in a limited run of 500 (about 137 were left at the time of this writing). However, you can keep an eye on Amazon for a pre-order of the general release book.
The general release book is releasing May 6 and will sell for $65.
Best Special Edition Auto Release: Rivian California Dune

Give it up for Rivian’s first-ever special edition release 🔥
California Dune is available in the R1S and R1T. Here’s what that gets you: Special color, terrain package, exclusive interior, color matching wheels, sand-ready gear.
Starts at $105k for the R1S and $99k for the R1T
Best New Fitness Tech: Apple Powerbeats Pro 2

Apple’s Powerbeats Pro 2 is about to become the best workout buds on the market. The coolest feature is a built-in heart rate monitor that “pulses over 100 times per second” to measure blood flow.
Other features include:
20% lighter than gen 1
33% smaller charging case
Qi wireless charging and USB-C for charging case
Several new colors (the coolest is Electric Orange)
Starts at $249.
Best New Phone Gadget: Leica LUX Grip

The Leica LUX Grip is an ergonomic grip attachment for your iPhone, but it also comes with some nice filters. Love the overall design. The Cognac leather case with an AirTag pouch is beautiful too, but unfortunately it’s sold separately.
Brace yourself for Leica pricing: the LUX Grip starts at $349.
Best New Audio: Turtlebox Ranger

The new Turtlebox Ranger is essentially a mini version of the Original, and the Original is one of my all-time favorite outdoor speakers.
Here are some specs for Ranger:
IP-67 waterproof to fresh and salt water
Up to 3 full days of battery
Drop, crush, and dust-proof
Left, right stereo pairing with Gen 2 Turtlebox
Priced at $220
Best New Fitness Gear: On Cloudsurfer 2

Cloudsurfer 2 was tweaked to be a little less cushiony and closer to the ground.
Here’s what I like:
Redesigned upper mesh
Medium stack (not as extreme as some competitors)
Firm rubber outsole with updated tread pattern
Shape leans towards wide feet
Priced at $160
